Summery of Services + Work

Here is a short summary of Studio Storla’ s experiences and body of work

Architecture + Landscape Concept Development

Her architectural education is from Sweden, before she interned at Võ Trọng Nghĩa Architects in Vietnam. After graduating she worked a couple of years in Canada at Dialog Design on both the architecture and landscape team. Returning to Norway she first worked for A-Lab, on a specialized ‘ground strategy’ tea, before she worked at MakersHub Oslo, who focused on social design and under-serviced communities. After focusing on art in Ireland for a couple of years after that, she founded her own practice called Studio Storla where her spatial practice was paired with her visual one. Right now she has both architecture and landscape projects as a architect consultant for example a library renovation project and a nature playground.

Art Exhibitions

In 2023, Liv had her first art exhibition in Dublin, Ireland. This exhibit was called “Story Quilt” and was based on various anonymous people’s stories/descriptions of their favorite places, then the interpretative illustrations where patched together on a inter-connective map. 2024, She had the same exhibition twice in Dublin called “The Hidden Stories”. This exhibit had its basis in stories/myths from the Celtic and Norse landscape and explored 'more than human narratives’ as well as guardianship/protection of the land through storytelling. In 2013 she had a photography exhibit in Prague called “The Tension In-between”. Studio Storla also has had projects with printing, drawing and painting in continuum.

Murals + Public Art

Studio Storla has been contracted to do Murals as a individual, as periodic workshops (Oslo Kultursommerjobb) and as elective courses (Hallingdal Folkehøgskole). Her practice does site-specific works for schools, public spaces, and cultural institutions.
